Overview

I love black and white film most of all, but do shoot a lot of digital these days for the convenience and lower cost. Still, there are things you can do with silver halide that you just can't do with CCD sensors. For example, while you can more or less add grain in Photoshop, you cannot accurately simulate an orange filter. As for subject matter, I enjoy available light photography, and hence inobtrusive live performance work. I love to explore portraiture because the possibilities are limitless and I feel I've only just begun to figure stuff out. I enjoy the aesthetics of well-designed architecture. And I can't help but be a photojournalist of anything odd or amusing, or to share images of the natural world.
